DNA Paternity Testing
Why take a paternity test?
● Whether you’re wondering if you’re the father of a child, not sure who your biological
father is, or you wish to verify the paternity of your child, a paternity test at Genix
Diagnostics Limited can help give you answers when you need it most.
● You can rest assured that your samples and identity are handled with the utmost
confidentiality and caution when having a test performed at our laboratory.
● We offer three types of DNA paternity testing, which is based on the nature of the
circumstances. These include: Legal Paternity, Peace of Mind Paternity, and Prenatal Paternity tests.
Legal Paternity Testing
Legal paternity testing (also known as chain-of-custody testing) provides results that may be
used as proof of relationship for child support, custody, immigration, birth certificate, or other
legal reasons. For this type of paternity testing, all parties (mother, alleged father, child/children)
must physically be present at our laboratory. A passport sized photo of each party as well as 2
forms of legal identification (where applicable) must also be presented.
Peace of Mind Paternity Testing
Peace of mind paternity testing is a suitable option if you want an answer for personal
knowledge or peace of mind only. Samples can be taken on-site by our trained staff or collected
by participants off-site using our Home-Kit. The results are not court-admissible.
Prenatal Paternity Test
For persons who require answers of paternity prior to the birth of a baby, prenatal paternity
testing is a suitable option. Prenatal paternity tests can be performed as early as 8 weeks, and is
completely safe for a mother and pregnancy.
